New 3 Wheeler Model

Cut three blocks of the hop hornbeam:
- one is 3/8" x 7/8" x 1 1/8" for the engine crank case
- two are 1 1/8" x 1 1/4" x 1 1/8" for the cylinder blocks
Then copy the front and top views from the drawing onto the blocks.
- Start with using the router to cut the notch in the cylinder head where the spark plugs go.
- Then cut the sides of the cylinders on the band saw. (keep the bits )
- Use the band saw to cut the crankcase piece along the lines drawn on the front. (keep the bits)
- Tape the cut off bits back onto the cylinder blocks and crankcase.
- Copy the side views from the drawings onto the blocks.
- Band saw the front and back of each cylinder block.
- Band saw the front and back of the crankcase.
- Shade in the tops and sides of the cylinder blocks where the corners and back are rounded off. See diagram just above.
- Cut off the corners of the cylinder blocks on the band saw.
- Mark the lower part of the front of the crankcase that juts out from the rest.
- Use a back saw to cut out the front of the crankcase.
- Draw the push rod tubes on the front of the cylinder blocks.
- And shade in the sides of the front of the crankcase that taper away to the sides.
- File the taper onto the front of the crankcase.
- Carve out the push rod tubes.
- Sand
- Sand some more
- Finish sanding with 150 grit
- Glue the cylinder blocks onto the crankcase. I used a fat elastic band to hold them together while the glue set.
